Training Description
OSHA 10-Hour General Industry provides workers with an introduction to workplace safety and health principles designed to reduce injuries, illnesses, and fatalities in general industry environments. Participants will gain an understanding of common workplace hazards, employee rights and employer responsibilities under OSHA, and practical strategies for identifying, avoiding, and controlling hazards.
Through instructor-led discussions, real-world examples, and interactive activities, participants will explore topics including hazard communication, personal protective equipment, machine guarding, electrical safety, walking-working surfaces, lockout/tagout, ergonomics, health hazards, and emergency preparedness. Participants who successfully complete the course will receive an OSHA 10-Hour General Industry course completion card.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this training, participants will be able to:
- Explain OSHA's mission, worker rights, and employer responsibilities.
- Recognize common workplace hazards and methods for hazard prevention.
- Identify hazards associated with walking-working surfaces and fall prevention.
