Program Overview & Deadline

Before you begin this application, please make sure you have all required documents ready to upload. Review the Diagnostic Medical Sonography Information Packet (linked below) for application instructions and document requirements. Please note that this application cannot be saved, and once submitted, you will not be able to return to make changes or edits.

Students in the Diagnostic Medical Sonography program must be admitted to the college first, but admission to the college does not guarantee acceptance into the Diagnostic Medical Sonography program. If you have not been admitted to SFCC and received your acceptance letter, please go to https://connect.sfccmo.edu/ to submit your admission application first.

Students are eligible to submit the program application when all prerequisite courses are complete or will be complete by the end of the Spring semester of the year in which they are applying, meet the Essential Qualifications for the Diagnostic Medical Sonography program, and meet the minimum letter grade requirements on all prerequisites courses or have them in-progress. GPA is checked at the end of the Spring semester of the school year in which the student is applying. A new application must be submitted each year an applicant chooses to apply.

All application materials must be received by March 1^st at 11:59pm CT.

Selection Process

Students in the Diagnostic Medical Sonography program are admitted to the college on the same basis as other students, but admission to the college does not ensure admission into the Diagnostic Medical Sonography program. Applicants will be evaluated based on the point scale below.
